“My paintings are about the natural beauty of the place I live. Landscapes, beautiful gardens, old houses, nature trails, rivers and lakes are the subject matter that inspires me.
My work is also inspired by the community where I live; the artists, naturalists, writers, teachers, scientists, and healers who contribute their creative energies to our shared community.”

We are featuring a wonderful new artist at Blue Highway Tioga!

Come take a closer look at the abstract creations by Ande Lister, an artist who has been “considering lilies” this spring. Inspired by a photograph taken at the edge of Lake Santa Fe, Ande created a series of beautiful, enigmatic paintings that draw the viewer in with their complex colors and brush strokes.
Using
thinned acrylics to create each calligraphic stroke, Ande creates a vibrant, yet calming vision on each canvas.

Ande earned her Master’s Degree in Art Education from the University of Illinois, and lived and worked as an artist in Peoria, Illinois for 10 years before moving to Gainesville with her husband. She now exhibits her work around the country in private and corporate collections, and we are pleased to have her amazing work on display! Come in and consider lilies with us, and contact andelister@gmail.com if something catches your eye!

Congratulations!

From all of us at Blue Highway, we would like to congratulate all those who graduated this weekend from the University of Florida and Santa Fe College. It is an amazing achievement and something to be extremely proud of! We wish everyone the best of luck with the bright futures ahead!
To everyone who chose to [...]
